Use case · Agentic PIM

What is an agentic PIM?

The definition, how it works and how it differs from a traditional PIM. And how it's built with Integrafy: Integrafy Data as the PIM, KnowOS as the knowledge layer and Agents for the repetitive work.

Definition

Agentic PIM: a product information system in which AI agents work on the catalogue with their own goals and permissions: they detect gaps and conflicts, fill in attributes, translate, generate content and prepare publication on each channel, always with the source of every data point and a person's approval.

  • A single source of truth for product data
  • Agents that act, not just suggest
  • Source and date for every data point
  • Human approval where it matters

How an agentic PIM fits together. From any system to any channel.

Integrafy Data keeps a single version of each product. KnowOS understands it and cross-references it with the rest of the business. Agents enrich it, translate it and prepare it for each channel.

Questions about agentic PIM

What does "agentic" mean?

That the AI acts as an agent: it has a goal, uses tools and prepares actions, instead of only answering when asked.

Is a PIM with AI an agentic PIM?

No. A PIM with AI usually adds a button to generate copy. In an agentic PIM, agents work continuously on the catalogue, with permissions and a log.

Is KnowOS a PIM?

No. Integrafy's PIM is Integrafy Data. KnowOS is the knowledge layer that makes it answerable and cross-references it with the ERP, price lists and documents. Together with Agents, they form an agentic PIM.

Does it replace the product team?

No. It takes the repetitive work off their hands. The team moves on to defining rules and approving.

What's the difference between PIM, MDM and DAM?

A PIM manages product information; an MDM, shared master data; a DAM, digital assets. An agentic PIM works across all three.

When does it make sense?

When there are thousands of SKUs, several languages or channels, and the data is spread across ERP, PLM, suppliers and spreadsheets.
